CLIMATE REALITY PROJECT

The Northern Illinois Chapter of the Climate Reality Project will present a 20 minute slide programs on Global Warming and Climate Change. We will define and describe Climate Change and provide examples of what can be and is being done to address and mitigate the damage that too much Global Warming is having on the earth's climate. There is reason for hope...it is not too late.

WHAT IS CEJA?

The states will need to take the lead on climate change as the federal government ignores the issue. In Illinois, the Clean Energy Jobs Act will move us to 100% clean energy by 2050, remove the equivalent of one million gas or diesel powered vehicles off the road, create a carbon free power sector by 2030, and focus all of these policies on jobs and equity.  Learn more about this act and how you can help pass the bill! Jennifer Walling, Executive Director of the Illinois Environmental Council will provide the details.
